This roller assembly supports your boat's keel for easy loading and safe transport on your trailer. Its 12-inch, yellow TPR spool roller will not mark your boat, and the galvanized steel panel bracket has slotted mounting holes for adjustability.

Features:

  • Deep V keel roller supports your boat's keel as it sits on the trailer
    • Eases loading and unloading of boat
    • Helps to absorb road shock while boat is being trailered
  • Panel bracket lets you bolt roller assembly onto the front of your boat trailer
    • Has slotted mounting holes that allow you to adjust the position during installation
    • Requires 1/2" or 7/16" fasteners (not included)
  • Sturdy, galvanized steel bracket resists corrosion
    • 6 Gussets provide extra strength by stiffening the bends
  • Yellow, thermal-plasticized rubber (TPR) roller delivers superior long-lasting performance
    • TPR material is non-marking, stronger than rubber and softer than polyurethane
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Roller length: 12"
  • Shaft diameter: 5/8"
  • Dimensions of mounting slots (each): 1/2" wide x 5" tall
  • Spacing of mounting slots: 10" apart on center

Typically installed upright on the rear and middle crossmembers of a boat trailer, keel roller panel bracket assemblies help to keep the boat moving while it is being loaded and to stabilize the keel.

Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

  • Recommended Keel Roller For Best Weight Capacity on Boat Trailer
The Yates Keel Roller for Boat Trailers - Super-Heavy-Duty Rubber - 18" Long - 5/8" Shaft # YR18244-165EC is not weight rated. The weight of the boat will actually be on the bracket and the 5/8 inch shaft that runs through the heavy-duty roller. Your application with the front weight the roller is more likely to bend the longer you make the roller. For instance the 18 inch roller along with the brackets # CE10500G and Roller Shaft w/Cap Nuts 19" x 5/8" # 107-30A will be more likely...

  • How To Install Rollers On a Pontoon Boat
It sounds like you are trying to bring the boat down closer to the trailer frame. I have personally not seen many setups that involve using keel rollers like the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10455G with a pontoon boat but if you have an idea in mind we do have these in various sizes. That said, I think the best option we can offer you to add a roller would be with the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunks part # DL21741 and the CE Smith Bolster Bracket for Pontoon...

  • Keel Roller Solution for Tracker 14 Grizzly to Help Center Boat
The CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly # CE10453G would work great to help center the boat as you load it onto the trailer as well as provide some additional support. I'd go with the wider version part # CE10455G which has a 12 inch roller on it. You'd need to provide your own U-bolts to fit around your frame channel to go through slots like what you see in the attached picture.

  • Will 12 inch Keel Roller Help Load Boat on Trailer in River
Yes the CE SMith Deep V Keel Roller part # CE10455G that you referenced will help center your boat as you pull it up on the trailer. The 12 inch version would not be overkill. Using two of these like what you see in the picture I attached will do a great job keeping your boat centered as you load it. This will help with crosswinds and river currents like you are dealing with.

  • Do Boat Trailer Keel Rollers Need to Support Full Weight of Boat
The bunks should be what's bearing the weight of the boat on the trailer and the rollers like the # CE32015G are designed to make enough contact that they guide the boat on the trailer but not fully support the boats weight. Think of them as supportive guides for the boat so that it sits properly. The # CE32015G is a great option for the front of the boat and then for at the rear a lower and flatter option like the part # CE10455G would be a better option.

  • Bow Roller Solution for Jon Boat that Has Flatter and Wider Bow
Based on what you described you might be best served with a keel roller assembly like the # CE10455G which is 12 inches long and has a pretty low angle to the roller which sounds like would be a great match for the contour of the bottom of your boat.

  • Can the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly Part # CE10455G Support a 9,000 Lb Boat
The CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly part # CE10455G will do an excellent job of helping to guide the boat out of the water and position it onto the boat trailer all while reducing the stress on your winch. However, using just one of the rollers would not offer enough support for your 28' long 9,000 lb boat. In order to support the weight of the boat you will want to use several of the rollers positioned them just slightly above the frame rail so they are not taking responsibility for...

  • Replacement 11-3/8 Inch Long Keel Roller for a Boat Trailer
With 12 inch keel rollers, such as # YR12244-125EC for example, they aren't actually 12 inches long. They fit 12 inch wide brackets. Just the rubber part of this roller for example is approximately 11-3/8 inches. Overall it is 11-3/4 inches long. So it is kind of like a 2 x 4 which is neither 2 inches nor 4 inches. The other option is to replace the roller and mounting bracket together using an assembly such as # CE10455G. I have linked videos of both of these parts for you.

  • Height of Keel Roller Assembly
I believe you are just asking for the height of the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly for Boat Trailers # CE10455G, and as you can see by the accompanying photo it is approximately 4 inches so you may be able to use it if that's the approximate height you are looking for. I have added a link to a video review of this assembly for you to check out as well.

  • How High Should the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly # CE10455G be Installed
It really just depends on your boat trailer setup. If you are using bunk boards as well then you would need the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly # CE10455G to sit at a spot where it is sharing the load of the boat. If you will only be using the keel roller then I would place it just above the trailer as you can see a different customer did in the attached picture.

  • Replacement Boat Trailer Keel Roller and Bracket for 1996 Calkins Boat Trailer
The linked page will show you all replacement keel rollers which are offered in both black rubber and non-marking thermoplastic varieties. You can use the filters on the page to narrow the results based on your preferred type and roller length, which ranges from 5- to 18-inches. The internal shaft diameter of all rollers we offer is either 5/8-inch or 1/2-inch so you'll want to check your existing bracket if it will be re-used. • CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly for a Ranger 620FS Boat Trailer
Based on images I could find on your Ranger 620FS boat trailer they all use a wide keel roller like the 12" CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly # CE10455G. This particular roller is made of a thermal-plasticized rubber (TPR) which makes it stronger than rubber but will also not mar your boat keel. We do carry the CE Smith U-Bolts # CE15283GA-2 which will allow you to mount it on a 3" tall by 2" wide crossmember. If you have a different size crossmember let me know or you will be able...

I've attached links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at.

  • Hardware Requirements to Install CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly CE10455G
The specific hardware to best install the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller Assembly # CE10455G really depends on the desired mounting point on a particular trailer. U-bolts like # CE15283GA-2 are often a good option but other galvanized hardware you source locally may be better in some cases. Generally one pair of u-bolts would be sufficient for each roller in most typical installations.
